Kobler warns from severe consequences of crisis on Iraq

The UN Secretary General’s Special representative to Iraq Martin Kobler warned that “Iraq is now facing a crossroads.”

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The UN Secretary General’s Special representative to Iraq Martin Kobler warned that “Iraq is now facing a crossroads.”In a statement, Kobler said on Friday “Iraq faces a crossroads,” calling urgently Iraqi leaders for “Self discipline and start dare and immediate initiatives for peace.”Kobler expressed his concerns that “Iraq is going towards the unknown if the leaders did not take immediate and active to stop the cyclone of violence from getting wider ad wider after the armed clashes that erupted recently and resulted in killing ad wounding hundreds of persons all over Iraq.”“I call all religious and political leaders to resort to their conscience and wisdom to prevent anger from beating peace because the country faces a crossroads,” according to Kobler.The UN envoy urged the Iraqi Government to “start a comprehensive and transparent investigation in Hawija events"./129
